Busy, Busy, Busy!!

This weekend was the busiest weekend that I have ever worked. I had 32 aircraft fuel up on Saturday and 28 on Sunday. I tried to take as many photos as I could but was not able to get any video(sorry).Tony is usually my first customer of the day on Saturdays so I'll start with Him.

The Yellow Air Taxi out of Fort Lauderdale came by for a break. Classic!

This is André Vilela and Joao Mauricio and they came all the way from Brazil to buy this plane and are headed back there. They said that they are going to use the plane on their farm where they have alot of cattle. I suppose they use it to herd cattle or to spot lost ones.

This is Hanks plane. He comes in alot with the air warriors(Bill & Bill)and his wife as well. I must say that since I started working at Pahokee airport I have met some of the greatest people on earth and Hank, Bill and Bill are at the top of the list. Thanks guys for coming in and making my day.

Have you ever wondered how the professionals take aerial photos. This is a Maul equiped with a camera mount inside the airplane. They take photos of large projects from about 6000' and use a software program to paste them together.

Fred Cabanas came out and was giving a ride to a customer and man you should have seen him. Fred is a really great guy and he even gave me an autographed picture of him and his airplane(A Pitts).

I believe this aircraft is called a Mercadi. It is an Italian military trainer

Bob Morris, from the Wellington Aero Club, came out for a visit in his experimental.

My wife (Michelle) and I have sold our videography business and decided to go full time photography. We needed new toys for this and this is what we got(Nikon D80's). We ordered two of the same packages so that I wouldn't have to take the camera from her on those days that I work. We really love photography and Michelle is especially good at it. She will be coming out with a new website soon but for now you can check her out at Cinematic Beauty. She specializes in child photography but also does weddings, parties, Sweet Sixteens and anything else. Noe(Blue Hole Helicopters)and I are also venturing out into the world of aerial photography so stay tuned for another website I will be creating.

Incident!

Here are some pics of the plane that slid of the runway due to a broken strut. The pilot and his girlfriend were ok. He seemed to be a great pilot and had very good control over the aircraft when it happened. John says that he had just walked out of the trailer and heard something loud and when he looked up he saw a cloud of dust and the plane was in the middle of it.

Flying RV!

This lovely family was on vacation and spent the night in thier airplane as if it were thier motorhome. They let me go inside and take a few photos and let me tell you that this airplane was huge. It had a bed the size of a queen in the tail portion of the aircraft. I didn't get a picture of it because I did not want them to feel uncomfortable but it also had a galley, a head, and a table that sat all four family members. The aircraft is a Private Explorer which was built by the dad. Good Job Dad.

Ok, so I've posted two videos now and there is many more to come. I appreciate all the support that everybody is giving me. Remember if you want to be on the video blog all you have to do is ask. I will not force anybody to be on the blog and I will not record you without you knowing.
Here is a nice picture of a Coast Guard HH60 Jayhawk that came and did some training at the airport. Enjoy!

Finally I have finished the second video. I'm sorry it took so long but I had to finish a mass production of a concert my wife and I filmed last month. Anyway I promise that I am going to get better at this video blog. As I edit the videos I see alot of mistakes I make but just bare with me I'll get better. Also I would like to thank everybody that has been involved with the videos. I have not had any negative things said about it and everybody thinks it is a great idea. Enjoy!
